Close-Door Meeting of CCF Advisory Committee Held by CDI

Close-Door Meeting of CCF (China Charity Fair) Advisory Committee was held by CDI on September 25, 2016. The theme of the roundtable discussion was “Charity Mechanism and Institution Building”. Many philanthropic experts from UK, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland talked about charity mechanism and institution design, social governance, charity laws and regulations. The brainstorming session was aimed at providing innovative policy recommendations for the sustainable development of charity in China. 


 

Lu Dezhi, Chairman of China Charity Fair Development Center, delivered the opening remarks. Wang Zhenyao, President of China Global Philanthropy Institute, GUO Wanda, Executive Vice President of CDI, Tatsuo Ohta, President and CEO of Japan Association of Charitable Organization, Michael Norton, Director of Centre for Innovation in Voluntary Action, Isabel Sim, Director (Asia) of Department of Social Work and Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences of National University of Singapore, Jenny Hodgson from Global Fund for Community Foundations and other totally 21 experts had heated discussions on charity mechanisms and institutions.
The 5th China Charity Fair was held in Shenzhen from September 23 to September 25, 2016. Its theme was to promote goodness by laws and alleviating poverty with our utmost effort. CDI coordinated 13 meetings of event which invited more than 230 philanthropic researchers and practitioners to share their ideas.
